Warranties and Claims

Lifetime Warranty

At My Higher Self, every piece is handcrafted to hold energy — and built to last. That's why every bracelet, necklace, and charm we make is backed by a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects, for as long as you own it.

This page covers exactly what's protected, what isn't, and how to file a claim.

What's Covered

Your Lifetime Warranty covers defects in materials or craftsmanship, including:

1. Broken elastic or cord — snapped stretch cord on bracelets, or broken stringing cord on necklaces, under normal wear
2. Clasp failure — a lobster clasp, toggle, or magnetic clasp that stops closing or locking properly
3. Loose or falling beads/charms — stones or charms that come loose from the setting due to a manufacturing fault (not impact damage)
4. Tarnishing or discoloration of plating — premature fading, flaking, or greening of gold/silver plating under normal wear (within the first 12 months; see Care Notes below for wear beyond that)
4. Chain breakage — a snapped link or connector on necklaces and chains, under normal wear
5. Faulty findings — jump rings, crimps, or connectors that open or fail on their own.

If a piece breaks, unravels, or stops functioning the way it should and it's not from an accident or misuse — it's covered.

What's NOT Covered

To keep this fair and sustainable, the warranty does not cover:

1. Accidental damage — dropped, crushed, caught on something, pulled, or cut.
2. Loss — a lost bracelet, charm, or stone is not replaceable under warranty
Water/chemical exposure damage — damage from swimming, showering, perfume, lotion, chlorine, or saltwater contact.
3. Natural stone variation — cracks, inclusions, or color variation that are natural characteristics of the gemstone, not defects
4. Wear from daily stacking/friction — surface scratches or minor wear from stone-on-stone or metal-on-metal contact over time
5. Custom or final sale items — pieces marked "Final Sale" or made to custom specification at checkout
6. Third-party alterations — resizing, restringing, or repairs done by anyone other than My Higher Self
7. Brass pieces are expected to patina with time; this is natural metal behavior, not a defect
Care tip: to extend the life of your piece, remove it before showering, swimming, or applying lotion/perfume, and store it flat or hanging (not balled up in a drawer) to protect the stringing cord.
